Security Officer

Responsibilities vary dependent on assignment but may include, foot/vehicle/bicycle patrol of client facilities, access control, observation and report writing.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to pass drug test and 10 year criminal background search.
• Must have HS diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must have 20/20, or corrected vision.
• Able to tell the difference between standard colors.
• Capable of hearing ordinary conversation at 20 feet and whispered conversation at 10 feet, with each ear. The use of hearing aids is permissible.
• Able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
• Able to perform normal or emergency duties requiring moderate to strenuous physical exertions. 

Security Officer (armed)

Responsibilities vary dependent on assignment but may include, foot/vehicle/bicycle patrol of client facilities, access control, observation and report writing. Requirements for armed security officers are the same as security officer (above) with the following exceptions:

• Must be 21 years of age
• Must have Firearms Permit
• Must pass in-house Firearms Training 

Supervisory Security Officer

Responsibilities are the same as a basic security officer but may also include (depending on assignment) supervision of one or more employees, training, scheduling, client correspondence, performance management, and general administrative/operational duties. Requirements for supervisors are the same as security officer (above) with the following additional requirements:

• Must have two years security officer experience
• Must have strong written / oral communication skills
• Must be computer literate 

Airport Professionals

Airport positions include:

• wheelchair attendant
• skycap
• baggage handler
• security guard
• customer service agent

Responsibilities include transporting passengers to and from gates, assisting passengers with curbside check-in of baggage, transporting baggage, securing aircraft, ramp, and cargo, monitoring access control points, coordinating unaccompanied minor and transit without visa escorts, and providing customer service assistance to passengers.

In addition to the requirements for security officers, candidates must have strong oral communication and reading comprehension skills.
